Customer Reviews

Food was delicious, best shrimp and grits I've ever had. The fried green tomatoes were cut a little thick for my liking but still yummy. The resturant itself was really hot the evening we went, that was my only complaint. Service was attentive and fast.

We happened to see this place on the way home from the Dr. Pepper museum and stopped for dinner. AMAZING! Lindsey was an awesome and attentive waitress. The food was PHENOMENAL and everything was cooked to perfection. It was plated amazing. Generous portions. And the pecan chocolate chip cookie was a great dessert. Loved this little gem

Fantastic experience! The catfish etouffee was bursting with flavor--perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service was incredibly friendly, and their recommendation was excellent. And to top it all off, the prices were very reasonable, making this place a true gem. If you're ever in Calvert, Texas, I highly recommend stopping by, you won't be disappointed.

Great food. I am not joking, great food. HUGE portions. You usually do not get big portions in a restaurant serving great food. Don't skip the dessert. We got the key lime pie and Oh Joey to-go because we were stuffed. We had an appetizer, 2 entrees with extras, 2 drinks, and 2 desserts. $60...that is including tax. And I have a meal for lunch and dinner tomorrow.

Passing through and instead of fast food we wanted to look up some local eats. Photos looked great and prices looked affordable. I expected good local home cooking but this was so much more than that. My boyfriend and I love cooking so we are, at times, hard to impress. Everything was so amazing and I was so happy with our visit. High quality food, beautiful presentation, seasoning on EVERYTHING (down to the olive oil!) had so much richness and depth. I thought this place had some award worthy food. Definitely will return next time we are back in town.

Finding a good restaurant on a roadtrip is hard. However this one hit the spot! Great food, they were friendly and attentive with our service. Fresh desserts available, yes! You know it's a good spot when people were in/out the door to pick up their pre-orders for Thanksgiving! Support this small town restaurant! Saving it on our list for next time we come through the area.
